What is the Scope of Event Management in India?

We never know how deep is sea. It totally depends upon the researcher's capability to go deep and find it.

Event management is seriously a lit profile any day! But honestly speaking it is the MOST DYNAMIC profession too.

I thought of taking it as my career so i choose up as an event organizer, here the most common hurdles i face is that,

1. This field is too dynamic.
2. Here, your profits is ALWAYS (N+1) provided how unique are your ideas.
3. You will have to be strictly delighted for it lik 200% for it to make it your career.
4. The moment you think of an idea you see someone already had done that.
5. Generating income is slightly difficult.
6. Your growth is good but you must have enough patience and total dedication

Probably believe it or not event management is an wonderful example of management studies which says “management is an art to get works done rather doing it” so yeah off course, event management is totally dependent on how many contacts you build up and how you use those.

Judging on the scope of this field is really difficult by any human, because it depends on the single person who is willing to take up as a career. None can give you better suggestion about your career in Event management except you.

If you believe your capable enough to present your clients an unique plan, if you have a great thinking capability? I guess you must go for it.

But yes, please do get to know the basis of it and get well trained.

There are some good colleges in India (Mumbai, Pune, Haryana) which are considered the best for Event management. Do have a check in them too.

So yeah for those who take up Event management as your career all the best, don't be scared of failure in this field u will get failures but just be strong, be unique, be socially active.

Scope of Event Management in India?

The industry is growing at a mammoth pace and has made its mark felt across the globe. India is not behind with regards to the pace at which the industry is growing.

In India, the Event Industry has grown in size not just by the number of events around the year but has also, created multiple job opportunities which have benefited the masses. Event & Experiential Marketing Industry in India will show a linear growth, as per TOI ‘Event Management Industry to touch 5K crores by 2015’

Event Management has a basic requirement of understanding the theory though the major play is for the practical experience gained on site.

However, a college education will help you making the right network with the potential employers besides giving you a basic guidance about how things work within the industry. So make sure you do interact immensely with your faculty as well as your peers during your tenure in college/institute.

There are various courses available basis the level of your current education and how it will benefit you will be something which you will have to decide on.

The scope of event management is booming in India. But instead of working under any company we need to start a new company n u should manage the company in the case if u want more money / income. Otherwise work as an employee in any company n get experience.but u should have a creative mind if u want to serve in event management sector.

Every college is best coz every college as it's own way of teaching but at last it depends on u How much u learn , how ur going to use that knowledge given my the institution.

At the end ur going to work. College will teach u what the event management sector r industry wants from u . Once you enter the industry you will explore the industry.

Events & occasions are important in our life. The event is the thing where all come together under one roof and enjoy it. In our life journey, we become part of many events for example school gathering, birthday celebration, engagement ceremony, wedding, success party,h. All event we will celebrate requires a huge effort, time & dedicated team. Now, many companies, individuals are preferring event management. Nevertheless, the supply of qualified event managers is insufficient to meet the growing demand. As looking to this aspect event management is a most demanded & huge employment sector. Event management is all about keeping in order a focused and professional event for a certain target audience. It entails visualizing concepts, executing, organizing, budgeting and planning events.

For getting the admission in diploma of event management 10+2 education or for post-graduation any bachelor degree required.

There are many institutes who offers courses for event management. Students for event management education should have a strong passion for conducting an event.

 I'd just say that if course there are institutes like INLEAD, NIEM, etc. but you do need to ask yourself: Am I looking at a job because I think it's a great industry, or am I confident (having done events at school etc) that I want to work and some day have my own events company? It might seem far fetched and roo much to think about at this point in time, but it will help to clear your mind. This is important because this will set your expectations of hard work vs reality. The reality, like many have mentioned here is not always as we dream of.

It's not always necessary to get a degree in events management at this point in India. You might want to look at options like doing g a mass communication degree that has events, or a management degree with a diploma in events and PR, or if you still want to go for an events management degree then be sure to look at the course content of the various institutes in detail and compare them. Go for a diverse course that will give a holistic idea to the industry in your short frame of time. Always keep in mind though, your competition will be with many others with other degrees, so the only thing that will actually set you apart is your passion and interest, your creativity to handle critical situations and project management, which you can see is not specific to an events management degree. The degree will give you the theory about the industry, but you must have the personal inclination and ability to deal with situations with events management, and the understanding of the pros and cons of your work profile, whilst learning to enjoy it.

Get maximum experience through internships, volunteering and part time jobs in events. Be sure you are cut out for it and have the knack and passion for events, and then go for it. Remember, it's the zeal, not the degree that works for the events industry.
